Why Volunteer?

Volunteering at Crossroads Hope Academy is more than giving your time — it’s giving hope. Many of our boys have faced challenges no child should ever experience, and the support of caring adults can change the course of their lives. By volunteering, you help give foster boys in Southwest Florida something every child deserves: a sense of belonging, confidence, and a brighter future.

Kitchen Aides

Help make mealtimes a warm and welcoming experience for our boys. Kitchen aides assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup — but more importantly, they bring conversation, laughter, and connection to the table. Volunteers in this role help create a sense of home and community through shared meals and positive daily routines.

Garden Aides

Our garden is a place of growth — both for plants and for the boys who tend to them. Garden aides help teach responsibility, patience, and teamwork by assisting with planting, watering, and maintaining our outdoor spaces. Whether you have a green thumb or just a willingness to help, this role allows you to connect with the boys while nurturing life and beauty on our campus.

General Volunteering

Volunteering at Crossroads can be whatever you want it to be. Want to help with general light maintenance projects? We can always use the help. Are you an organized person? We can always use help keeping our campus shop stocked and organized. Our volunteers lead Bible Studies, organize fun group activities or games once or twice a month, play basketball with the boys or toss a football back and forth. Volunteering at Crossroads means just being there for the kids, making sure they know that they are loved and they matter.
